The deputies of the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office are sworn peace officers given the charge of upholding the law and protecting all citizens.  As the uniformed presence, the patrol division is the most publicly visible division of the department and operates a fleet of patrol vehicles.  Patrol deputies respond to emergency calls, enforce traffic laws, prevent crime and apprehend criminal offenders.  The deputies are responsible for serving civil process and the execution of arrest warrants. The uniformed deputies of the patrol division are the front line of protection for the citizens of LeFlore County.

The Communications Division of the LeFlore County Sheriff's Office operates 24 hours a day 7 days per week and is the first point of contact for all persons calling the sheriff's office for emergencies.  The Communications Division handles all 9-1-1 calls for law enforcement.  The Communications Division is also the life line for the patrol division of the LCSO and for several other police agencies throughout LeFlore County.  The demanding nature of the division leaves little room for error and the professional men and women serving in the Communications Division are relied upon by the public and emergency workers for their safety.  The Communications Division, aside from dispatching calls for service and operating the 9-1-1 system, is also tasked with conducting criminal records checks, warrant checks. vehicle and property registrations and arranging for the unlimited number of services that may be needed in the performance of law enforcement duties.
